Here’s a screenshot of the 2005 version of MVP Baseball, made by EA Sports. Laynce Nix of the Rangers breaks up Orlando Cabrera’s attempt to turn the double play.

For this season, I’ve adjusted the settings in the game to what I’ll call “extremely difficult” – to really challenge myself. I decided to use the Texas Rangers, too, who are not exactly known for their pitching. I’m paying for it. 72 games into the season, I’m 34-38 and in dead last in the American League West. Thankfully, most of the other teams are hovering around .500, so there’s still a ways to go. Click the pic for the full version (much better).
