I had a dream last night that I was in a strangely wonderful place that reminded me of, oh, Honah Lee. You know, the place from Puff the Magic Dragon. Of course you do. Now the song will be stuck in your head all day. I laugh at you.
Anyway, it was a beautiful day out and I was just walking around, staring at the beautiful water and perfect sky when up in the air I saw what looked like a toy airplane. The airplane got bigger and bigger and I realized it was about to land in the water. I got nervous, hoping it wasn’t going to crash, but at the last second it turned into a boat and landed gracefully in the water. I looked at the side of the plane/boat and my soul sank as I saw the North Korean flag and soldiers with guns come streaming out of it. Suddenly several of the planes were coming in and we were surrounded by soldiers. I told everyone to “go up! go up!” into a tower of sorts and then I changed my mind and shouted “down! down!”
That’s all I can remember.
We’ll move into a new house tomorrow (Tuesday). This week has been odd. The babies schedule has just gone straight to hell. They get up at 4:30am and are very confused, since we had them on such a tight schedule. They don’t know what to do. Everything has been 100% different over the past 6 days and it’s causing all kinds of uncertainty. Poor things. Tomorrow we’ll give them a home back and hopefully get them back on track.
Trivia: the song “Puff The Magic Dragon” has been covered by Bing Crosby, Dolly Parton, Seal, John Denver, Roger Whittaker and The Broken Social Scene. Not all together, of course.
“…Not all together, of course.”
But wouldn't that be quite the spectacle.
My sympathies for your cranky childrens…
