Recurring Dream…..

I’m on my way to play in a hockey game. I’m running a little late, but nothing big – I might miss the first couple of minutes of the game. For some reason, though, things sidetrack me and I keep getting more and more late. Getting lost on the way to the rink. Breaking a skate lace. Missing equipment. Etc etc. It all adds up to me missing the whole game, despite actually being in the arena for most of it……

What’s it mean?

I think it means that hockey is boring.

Jeff, it means your days of playing hockey are numbered. The angel (in an “Animal House” kinda way…) over one shoulder is saying, “You need to be home with the boys,” while the devil on the other is saying, “Fuck it. Lace em up!” It's a classic internal conflict.

I've had that exact dream many times! Too funny. Mine usually take me back to HS hockey. When I wake up I usually ask myself… Why were you so stressed out, you weren't going to see ice time anyway!
